Dressember is an international campaign aiding the fight against sex trafficking. Participants in Dressember draw awareness by wearing a dress daily during the month of December.
Why a dress? To many people, dresses represent fragility, weakness and inequality. We believe it is time to reclaim them. Can a dress change the world? We think so! The dress is our uniform, the flag of the movement. Dressember is an opportunity to reclaim and reappropriate the dress as a symbol of freedom and power.
For many people, the idea of making an actual difference feels impossible and out of reach. When you participate in Dressember, you are a part of large, anti-trafficking activities that provide rescue organizations with grants that move the needle forward toward actual change.
